CLSA eyes Khazanah’s Abang Rahmat as Malaysia head

KUALA LUMPUR: CLSA plans to hire Abang Rahmat Yusuf, a director of investments at sovereign wealth fund Khazanah Nasional, as head of Malaysia coverage, people with knowledge of the matter said.

Abang Rahmat’s appointment is pending approval from Malaysian regulators, said the people, who asked not to be identified because the information is private

He tendered his resignation at Khazanah and is now on gardening leave, said one of the people

Abang Rahmat joined the Malaysian fund in 2004, his LinkedIn profile shows

Representatives for CLSA and Khazanah declined to comment
