KUALA LUMPUR: Earnings at UCrest Bhd, the healthcare cloud system provider, climbed for a sixth consecutive quarters in the three-month ended Aug 31 to a new high.
Net profit in the first quarter rose 63% to RM4.94mil compared with RM3mil a year ago, as revenue improved to RM8.15mil.
“Digital health has clearly picked up stronger and stronger momentum over the past two quarters. This momentum is expected to continue,” UCrest said in a filing with the stock exchange on Friday.
The company has recently signed an MoU of collaboration with Bohkin Cancer Research Institute in Moscow, the largest cancer research institute in Europe with over 1,000 hospital beds.
It is also the founding member of the BRICS Biomedical Consortium and have initiated several projects with South West University in Chongqing, China.
Meanwhile, UCrest Business Development team has visited over 20 hospitals, healthcare service organizations and insurance companies in Dubai and participated in the Innohealth Conference in Delhi.
“We are not only engaged with the hospitals, but also the insurance and pharmaceutical companies in promoting imedic - the cloud hospital,” it said.
