Cheaper Perodua vehicles during three-month tax holiday

PUTRAJAYA: Perusahaan Otomobil Kedua Sdn Bhd (Perodua) has released new prices for all its models following the implementation of zero-rated Goods and Services Tax (GST) from June 1, 2018.

In a statement today, it said on average the vehicles are priced 5.6% lower than before.

“Some models can be cheaper by up to RM3,500 with the zero-rated GST. As the government has announced that the Sales and Services Tax will return in September, we encourage all Malaysians to capitalise on this three-month tax holiday,” it said.

With this, Perodua’s GST reimbursements for purchase, service and parts between May 18 and 31 come to a close, as customers pay zero GST from June 1.

On top of the zero GST, Perodua is offering rebates of up to RM800 for selected models and variants in June. - Bernama
