Escalating US-China trade war


NEW YORK: President Trump has said that the United States would consider slapping tariffs on an additional US$100bil in Chinese goods, escalating a potentially damaging trade dispute with Beijing that began on Jan 22.

If implemented, the further tariffs would triple the US$50bil placed on goods imported from China that Trump announced last Tuesday.
