UniFi, Streamyx users can continue to access iflix till year-end


Streaming video: With the latest round of funding, iflix is expected to expand into more regions

KUALA LUMPUR: iflix and Telekom Malaysia Bhd (TM) say eligible UniFi and Streamyx customers can continue to access the former's service till the year-end.

Both new and existing UniFi and Streamyx 4Mbps and 8Mbps subscribers are entitled to unlimited access to iflix from now till Dec 31, 2017, a joint statement from iflix and TM said.

The latest offer represents a deepening ties between the companies, which previously announced their collaboration to offer TM's premium broadband subscribers a one-year access to iflix service, valued at RM120.

TM executive vice-president (new media) Jeremy Kung said the collaboration allowed TM customers to enjoy an extensive library of content from iflix which complements its IPTV service, HyppTV.

Meanwhile, iflix, the world's leading Internet TV service for emerging markets, would continue to roll out its world-class service to key additional emerging markets in the coming months. - Bernama
