Econpile secures RM280mil for Sungai Besi job

KUALA LUMPUR: Econpile Holdings Bhd has clinched a RM280mil contract to undertake diaphragm wall, contiguous bored pile, earthworks, piling works and basement structure works for a mixed development in Sungai Besi, Kuala Lumpur.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the piling and foundation specialist said its unit Econpile (M) Sdn Bhd received the letter of award from ASM Development (KL) Sdn Bhd for works on the development that comprises a seven-block service apartment, retail area and car-park.

Econpile said the contract would span 15 months and was expected to contribute positively to the company’s revenue and earnings for the financial year ending June 30, 2017.

Econpile shares added 7 sen to close at RM1.76 on Tuesday with 2.299 million shares changing hands.
