PruBSN reaffirms status as Best Takaful Institution


KUALA LUMPUR: Prudential BSN Takaful Bhd (PruBSN) has reaffirmed its status as the ‘Best Takaful Institution’ with its recent award win due to its innovation philosophy and commendable efforts to revolutionise its business operations.

The award the given by The Asset, a Hong-Kong based research and publication house.

PruBSN chief executive officer Azim Mithani said that it is exciting to see the company growth from strength to strength as it develops technology-driven customer centric solutions.

As at Dec 31, 2014, the company’s new business production increased 26.4% to RM340.1mil year-on-year and recorded a 33.1% market share.

“For four successive years from 2011 to 2014, PruBSN has maintained its number 1 position for Family Takaful business as confirmed by Insurance Services Malaysia,” the company said.

It added that it has launched its e-credit solution for claim payment to reduce the length of time when its customers need their monies the most.

Earlier this year, PruBSN also bagged several awards in nine categories including the Best Takaful Operator for Agency Family Takaful Business, Young Takaful Manager and Corporate Social Responsibility Award.

“These international and local recognitions further affirm the strong long-term prospects of PruBSN’s business to increase market penetration for Takaful solutions in the country,” the company said.
