KUALA LUMPUR: Tiong Nam Logistics Holdings Bhd
has won triple honours at the 2015 Malaysia Excellence Awards organised by Frost & Sullivan.
The logistics firm, which has businesses in warehousing, customs forwarding, cold room facilities, express delivery, crane and forklift rental services, bagged the coveted Best Regional (Asean) Road Transportation Service Provider of the Year, Domestic Logistics Service Provider of the Year and Best Road Transportation Service Provider of the Year awards.
Property developer Mah Sing Bhd won Excellence in Growth – Building Construction Industry award, Public Bank Bhd bagged the Automotive Finance Company of the Year award while Telekom Malaysia Bhd also won multiple awards including Data Communications Provider of the Year and Fixed Broadband Service Provider of the Year.
According to Frost & Sullivan Malaysia country head Hazmi Yusof, the awards recognised the best-in-class companies that had demonstrated excellence in various industries.
The awards recognise best practices and outstanding performance by Malaysian companies in different sectors such as automation and electronics, automotive, chemicals, energy, environment and building, healthcare, information and communication technologies and logistics.
“We realise it is critical to highlight best practices and honour companies that have delivered excellence in their respective industries,” Hazmi said.
Award recipients were identified based on in-depth interviews, analysis, and extensive secondary research conducted by Frost & Sullivan’s analysts. Companies are typically studied on their revenues, market share, capabilities and overall contribution to the industry in order to identify best practices.
The findings of the detailed evaluation were presented to a panel of independent judges comprising influential personalities and leaders in Malaysia.
