Malaysia’s train assembly plant gets Siemens acceptance cert


KUALA LUMPUR: SMH Rail Sdn Bhd, the work package contractor of the mass rapid transit (MRT) Sungai Buloh-Kajang Line, has received the certificate of acceptance from Siemens for having fulfilled technical and infrastructure requirements at their rail car assembly plant facility.

In a statement yesterday, Siemens said the assembly plant in Rasa, Hulu Selangor, was the first plant to receive a certificate of this kind from Siemens outside of Europe.
