Scomi, partners awarded Ophir oilfield RSC job


KUALA LUMPUR: Scomi Energy Services Bhd, together with partners Octanex Pte Ltd and Vestigo Petroleum Sdn Bhd have secured a small field risk service contract (SFRSC) from Petronas Nasional Bhd to develop Ophir oilfield, located offshore Peninsular Malaysia.

“The first hydrocarbon from the Ophir field is expected to be within 18 months,” Petronas’ Malaysia petroleum management vice-president Adif Zulkifli Adif said in the statement yesterday.
