Lee resigns from Star Publications


PETALING JAYA: Star Publications (M) Bhd executive deputy chairman Tan Sri Vincent Lee Fook Long, 60, has resigned from his position in the company.

According to an announcement to Bursa Malaysia, Lee is leaving to pursue other professional interests and commitments.

Lee was first appointed as non-independent non-executive director of Star on May 24, 2010, and redesignated to executive deputy chairman on Jan 3, 2011.

He has been steadily disposing of his stake in the company over the last four months. He no longer holds any shares in Star, having sold his last batch on March 13.

Lee is best known as the founder of Naga DDB, an advertising agency that has been around for more than 25 years. He is also group executive chairman of Foetus International Sdn Bhd, one of Malaysia’s largest and most diversified communications groups.

Lee was president of the Association of Accredited Advertising Agents Malaysia or 4As from 2005 to 2011, and was appointed honorary life president in June 2012. He had also served as the chairman of the Audit Bureau of Circulations.

He is presently a director in SHH Resources Holdings Bhd.

He was previously non-executive director of MNC Wireless Bhd, but resigned in August last year. Lee has a degree in Mass Communication from the Institute of Marketing, London.
