1MDB-Mitsui JV bags Project 3B power plant job (Update)


KUALA LUMPUR: The Energy Commission has awarded the Project 3B new coal-fired power plant with a capacity of 2 x 1000 MW to 1Malaysia Development Bhd-Mitsui Co. Ltd (1MDB-Mitsui).

The EC said on Friday the power plant, which industry players estimated could cost RM11bil, would be built in Jimah, Negeri Sembilan would involve a levelised tariff of 25.33 sen a kWh.
