YTL posts higher Q1 profit


KUALA LUMPUR: YTL Corp Bhd’s net profit grew 9% to RM427.5mil for the first quarter ended Sept 30 against RM391.9mil in the same period a year earlier. The group declares an interim dividend of 15% or 1.5 sen per share.

Its revenue for the quarter rose 2.7% to RM5.2bil from RM5.07bil a year ago. Its earnings per share for the quarter was higher at 4.12 sen from 4.03 sen previously.
