PETALING JAYA: Asia-Pacific markets extended their losses yesterday as investors chose US Treasury bills over equities on heightened concerns that the debt crisis may spread from Greece to Spain and Portugal.
Wall Street’s Tuesday close in negative territory also weighed heavily on the minds of investors while political unrest in Greece’s capital Athens continued over austerity measures to contain the country’s debt.
