Three firms to form Mobile Number Portability Clearinghouse

Petaling Jaya: The government has named three companies - Talian Gerak Alih Sdn Bhd, Unified Communications Sdn Bhd and Telcordia Technologies Inc – to form a consortium to operate and manage the Mobile Number Portability Clearinghouse (NPC) in the country. 

The Malaysian Communications & Multimedia Commission (MCMC) said in a statement that the consortium would operate the NPC for a period of five years and it comes with an option of an additional 5-year extension.
