KUALA LUMPUR: The ringgit rose to RM3.698 against the US dollar yesterday, its strongest level since the local unit was un-pegged from a fixed rate of RM3.80 to the greenback in July last year.
Dealers said the Chinese yuan's continued appreciation against the greenback and higher domestic interest rate outlook kept the ringgit on a steady rise year-to-date.
