OVER the last five years, Bata (M) Sdn Bhd has made dramatic changes in its operations to compete in an increasingly sophisticated market.
The company, which has been producing footwear in Klang since 1935, had previously put a strong focus on manufacturing. At its height, it produced up to six million pairs of shoes per year.
