JOS sees RM50m sales from south and east coast states

JARDINE OneSolution (2001) Sdn Bhd (JOS) sees sales from the southern region and east coast states doubling to RM50mil yearly from RM25mil now. 

Group managing director Fred Tan said the projection was based on the success of its east Malaysia and northern operations after using the services of an agency. 

He said the east Malaysia and northern operations now rang up sales of RM35mil annually, more than the double from previously. 

“The company expects sales in the southern region and east coast states to double in similar fashion,” Tan said on Thursday at the signing of an agreement to appoint The Value Systems Distributions Sdn Bhd (TVS) as sole agent for its products. 

Under the agreement, the company will distribute and market JOS products for Johor, Malacca, Negri Sembilan, Pahang, Kelantan and Terengganu.

Among the products that TVS will distribute are desktops, servers, notebooks, software, scanners, printers and large format printers. 

TVS managing director Lim Chee Keong said proximity to clients would enable the company to provide them faster and more efficient services. 

He added that the company would also tailor marketing strategies and promotions to specific business requirements in certain states. 

“Previously, marketing and promotion activities catered more for clients in Kuala Lumpur and Petaling Jaya, thus sidelining customers in other states,” said Lim.
