WELLINGTON, New Zealand: New Zealand's unemployment rate fell to a 23-year low in the third quarter as the number of people with jobs rose to the highest level ever, official data showed Thursday.
Statistics New Zealand said the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in the three months that ended Sept. 30 fell to 3.4 percent from a revised 3.6 percent in the second quarter.
