MLNG expansion boost for Bintulu Port

Bintulu Port Holdings Bhd (BPHB), whose main source of revenue is from the handling of liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports, could expect a major boost to its bottom line when Malaysia LNG Sdn Bhd (MLNG) expands the capacity of its LNG2 plant by another 4 million tonnes a year.

Acting chief executive officer Mior Ahmad Baiti said as MLNG's three LNG plants had reached their production capacity of 22 million tonnes per year, MLNG planned to undertake a de-bottlenecking project of its LNG2 plant to increase total production to 26 million tonnes yearly.
