BUSINESS leaders must ensure their workplace is a meeting ground for differing and diverse ideas, opinions and perspectives. To this end, it’s the responsibility of the company leader to break down barriers: not in the name of equality, but diversity. Not out of kindness, but necessity.
Study after study shows overwhelming support for workplace diversity. According to an Industrial Society poll, almost 70% of British managers regard diversity as a matter of high priority. Around 77% expect these issues to become even more important to their organisations in the next couple of years. There’s a strong business case for it.
