SHARES of Telekom Malaysia Bhd
have been on the uptrend since the announcement three weeks ago of Datuk Abdul Wahid Omar's appointment as its new director and chief executive officer.
The announcement, coupled with the company's strong showing in the first quarter of this year, helped the counter to close yesterday at an eight-week high of RM10.20, up 20 sen from Tuesday, on volume of 3.9 million shares.
