Maxisegar sees RM1.5b more sales from township project

MAXISEGAR Sdn Bhd, a Talam Corp Bhd unit, expects to achieve another RM1.5bil in sales from its Taman Puncak Jalil project, Talam chairman Tan Sri Chan Ah Chye said.

The project, launched in 2001, comprises 13,626 mixed properties.

“As of today, the number of units sold stands at 8,529 amounting to RM1.58bil.

“There are about 5,000 more units to go and we hope to complete them within two to three years,” he told a press briefing on the progress of the project in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.

Taman Puncak Jalil has enjoyed overwhelming response since the township opened for sales. The 320.4ha fully integrated township comes complete with amenities for residents when fully completed.

Chan said 3,500 owners had received certificates of fitness for their units while another 600 were expected to receive theirs by the end of this month.

Presently, construction and infrastructural works are being carried out in the township proper.

Chan said residents could expect a much smoother and safer ride from Bukit Jalil next month with the completion of a dual-carriageway link. The construction work handled by Mitra Jaya Sdn Bhd is proceeding smoothly with about 60% completed to date.

So far, 22 shops near phase 3A have been completed and are ready for operation.

Chan said Maxisegar planned to build more commercial complexes in Puncak Jalil when the township had grown. – Bernama
