Media Prima to take over Metropolitan TV under revamp scheme

Media Prima Bhd has conditionally agreed to take over Metropolitan TV Sdn Bhd (MTV) under a proposed restructuring scheme formulated by the latter's special administrator. 

A statement from Media Prima yesterday said the restructuring proposal would involve its acquisition of an 80% stake in Merit Idea Sdn Bhd (MISB) – which will own 99.5% of the recapitalised MTV.
