Astro plans US$250m financing facilities


Astro, Malaysia’s pay television company, is looking to finance and refinance its debt facilities to the tune of US$200mil to US$250mil.  

It is believed to be in discussions with a number of local and foreign banks, including DBS Bank, Singapore’s biggest bank; Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group, Japan’s second largest bank; ABN Amro Rothschild; and local investment house Commerce International Merchant Bankers Bhd.
