THE EON Bank group has merged its bank and finance branches in Sibu under one roof to offer a more comprehensive range of financial services.

Its deputy chief executive officer Abdul Jamel Pawanteh said that with the merger, the EON Bank group could now operate on a more efficient platform.

“We are going the extra mile by giving our customers the convenience of a one-stop banking centre with the ease of performing their banking transactions under one roof,” he said at the launching of the merged entity yesterday.

He said that the one-stop banking centre concept was first introduced last year at four branches in Muar, Sitiawan, Lahad Datu and Kamunting.

Jamel said that the group would continue to be customer-focused and concentrate on providing efficient and innovative service and products to small and medium enterprises.

He said the group was now in the process of implementing the merger of more of its bank and finance branches nationwide.

“We hope to complete this rationalisation by the third quarter,” he said. – Bernama
