Tanzania's Jihan crowned 14th Miss Grand International titleholder in Bangkok

BANGKOK: Tanzania’s Jihan Mohin Dimachk was crowned Miss Grand International (MGI) 2026, becoming the pageant’s 14th titleholder after a final featuring 80 contestants from around the world.

Ecuador’s Shyare Andrade, a favourite who stood hand in hand with her for the final announcement, was first runner-up, while Thailand’s Patthama Jitsawat, known as Ning, finished as one of the fifth runners-up.

Miss Grand International Public Company Limited organised the event under the leadership of Nawat Itsaragrisil.

The 80 representatives competed in an evening of beauty and talent, displaying their charm, confidence and abilities before enthusiastic supporters.

Loud cheers rang out at MGI Hall on the sixth floor of Bravo BKK shopping centre in the Rama 9 area.

Millions of viewers worldwide followed the competition on the GrandTV YouTube channel, from the opening show and the talent competition to the announcement of the winner.

Matthew Deane hosted the event.

Dimachk won over the judges and pageant fans with her performances throughout the competition, securing the 2026 crown as MGI’s 14th titleholder.

The first runner-up was Ecuador’s Shyare Andrade, followed by Beau Megan Goos of the Netherlands as second runner-up, Ximena Carrillo of Guatemala as third runner-up and Emoura Phạm of Vietnam as fourth runner-up.

The fifth runner-up positions were shared by Thailand’s Patthama, Puerto Rico’s Vicky Carbonell, Mexico’s Pety Juárez, Côte d’Ivoire’s Marlène Kany Kouassi, Cuba’s Alyanni T. Gomez and Venezuela’s Lady Di Mosquera.

The opening show was another highlight, with Emma Tiglao, Miss Grand International 2025, delivering an energetic performance featuring lighting, colour and sound effects.

Her performance made an immediate impression and quickly attracted attention online.

The show highlighted the scale of the pageant and its ability to make an impact and create memories for fans worldwide.

Nawat is preparing to celebrate MGI’s 15th anniversary in Thailand.

Best National Costume: Zara Younus of Pakistan, Patthama of Thailand, Angelica Lopez of the Philippines and Yolanda Liu Xuebing of Hong Kong.

The Country’s Power of the Year: Shyare Andrade of Ecuador.

Grand Talent Award: Vicky Carbonell of Puerto Rico.

Miss Popular Vote: Shyare Andrade of Ecuador.

Best in Swimsuit: Marlène Kany Kouassi of Côte d’Ivoire.

National Director: Miss Grand Tanzania.

Popular Vote: Jihan Mohin Dimachk of Tanzania.
