Six fined in Brunei's Tutong enforcement operation


BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: Six individuals were issued compound fines during a joint enforcement operation by the Tutong Municipal Department and the Health Enforcement Unit at Pasaraneka Complex Tamu Tutong.

Of the six offenders, four were issued compound fines for two offences under Section 12(1)(a) of the Miscellaneous Offences Act, Chapter 30, and Section 14(2) of the Tobacco Order, 2005.

The other two individuals were issued compound fines for smoking in public areas under Section 14(2) of the Tobacco Order, 2005.

The joint operation is part of efforts to ensure compliance with the law and maintain public order and comfort at Pasaraneka Complex Tamu Tutong. - Borneo Bulletin/ANN
