Philippine exports hit 35-year high of US$9.11bil in August


MANILA (Xinhua): The Philippines' exports of goods hit a 35-year high of 9.11 billion U.S. dollars in August 2026, a year-on-year surge of 27.8 percent, according to local media reports on Sunday.

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) said the merchandise exports reached 64.04 billion dollars from January to August 2026, up 14.8 percent year on year.

Electronic products were the major driver of exports, posting a year-on-year gain of 2.32 billion dollars to reach a total of 6.2 billion dollars in August, according to PSA. -- Xinhua
