BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: The Pusat Pekerjaan Brunei (PPB), under the Ministry of Home Affairs, began its third edition of Jelajah Kerjaya (Career Roadshow) 2026, starting in the Belait District at Pusat Insani, Seria on Thursday (Oct 1)
The roadshow aims to connect job seekers in the district with over 1,445 job opportunities offered by private companies, covering various sectors including trade, hospitality, insurance, education, technology and transportation, among others.
PPB’s Director Noraini Mohd Jamudin explained that in addition to the career opportunities being showcased, the roadshow also provides members of the public with opportunities to explore alternative career pathways, including starting their own businesses, generating income through more flexible arrangements and taking advantage of opportunities in the nation’s gig economy.
“The career roadshow serves not only as a platform for jobseekers to secure employment, but also as a platform that brings together jobseekers, employers and key stakeholders within the wider career ecosystem,” she added.
Various career-related activities and services were also made available to help jobseekers prepare for employment, explore opportunities and engage directly with prospective employers.
These include registration of PPB accounts and activation of e-Darussalam accounts, curriculum vitae (CV) consultations and interview preparation, exhibitions and engagement sessions with companies, open interviews, briefings and sharing sessions with industry experts, various competitions and interactive activities, as well as other services and activities related to career development.
The roadshow continues in the Belait District until tomorrow. It will continue in the Tutong District on Oct 6 and 7, 2026 at the Main Hall and Dewan Seri Kenangan of the Tutong Community Hall Complex, followed by a one-day programme in the Temburong District on Oct 10, 2026 at Dewan Belalong, Pekan Bangar Community Hall Complex.
The roadshow will take place in the Brunei-Muara District from Oct 15 to 18, 2026 at Halls 1 and 2 of BRIDEX, Jerudong. – Borneo Bulletin/ANN
