Convenient food products specialist Furayco showcases Malaysian lifestyle brand at Mara Nismilan Showcase

Malaysian food brand Furayco, founded by entrepreneur Shafura Salam, made its official debut at the MARA Nismilan Showcase, marking a milestone in its journey to bring consumers convenient food products inspired by familiar Malaysian flavours.

Pengarah Unit Perancang Ekonomi Negeri (UPEN) Negeri Sembilan, Dr Arwan Sabri, officially launched the new products during the showcase, held from Sept 30 to Oct 3 at the Medan MARA Building.

Built around the tagline “Chef Cuti, Furayco On Duty”, it focuses on developing food products that combine convenience with the flavours and quality associated with home cooking.

For Shafura, the launch represents the beginning of a wider journey to establish Furayco as a Malaysian food brand with the potential to reach consumers beyond its initial market.

“Furayco was created from a simple idea: that good food should be convenient without losing the taste and feeling that remind us of home. This launch is an important first step as we introduce the brand to a wider audience and explore growth opportunities,” said Shafura.

The MARA Nismilan Showcase has also provided Furayco with an opportunity to engage directly with consumers, entrepreneurs and industry players, while introducing its range of products and gathering feedback from the market.

For the brand, consumer engagement forms an important part of its development as it explores opportunities across retail, distribution and strategic partnerships.

“Being able to meet consumers directly gives us valuable insight into what they are looking for. At the same time, the showcase allows us to connect with entrepreneurs and potential partners who may be able to support the next stage of Furayco's growth,” Shafura added.

Furayco's participation in the Mara Nismilan Showcase reflects the brand's broader ambition to grow through partnerships and market engagement.

The company is exploring collaborations with retailers, distributors, corporate partners and other businesses as it works to expand its reach and strengthen its presence within Malaysia's food sector.

For Shafura, building Furayco is also about creating a brand that can evolve with changing consumer lifestyles while remaining connected to the flavours that Malaysians know and enjoy.

“We want Furayco to grow as a business, but we also want to remain close to the people who enjoy our food. Their feedback, preferences and experiences will continue to shape how we develop the brand,” she added.

The Mara Nismilan Showcase brings together entrepreneurs, businesses, agencies and members of the public, providing a platform for local businesses to introduce their products, establish connections and explore new commercial opportunities.

Furayco's debut at the showcase marks the beginning of its next phase, with the brand looking to build its consumer base, strengthen partnerships and expand its distribution opportunities

For the record, Furayco is a Malaysian food brand company with a focus on developing convenient food products inspired by the flavours and culinary traditions Malaysians know and enjoy. Its brand philosophy reflects its commitment to delivering food that combines convenience with the quality and taste associated with home cooking.
