The global stage beckons for Zaya, connecting the world through Muslim-friendly hospitality

Malaysia-born ZAYA, a Muslim-Friendly Hospitality Platform, has made its global debut at the Global Halal Summit Malaysia 2026 (GHaS 2026).

It was officially unveiled at Le Méridien Putrajaya, marking the beginning of its journey from Malaysia to the world. ZAYA connects travellers, hospitality providers and destinations through a new Muslim-friendly hospitality ecosystem.

Introduced before an international audience comprising government leaders, Islamic authorities, industry stakeholders and halal certification bodies from around the world, ZAYA enters the global stage with one clear ambition: To connect the world through Muslim-friendly hospitality.

The landmark occasion was graced by: Senator Dr Zulkifli bin Hasan, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs); Datuk Shaharuddin bin Abu Sohot, Secretary General, Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia (MOTAC); Encik Mohammad Faisal Abu Suaib Khan, Director-General, Islamic Tourism Centre (ITC); Datuk Dr Sirajuddin bin Suhaimee, Director-General, Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM); Datuk Ada Poon, Chief Executive Officer, ZAYA.

ZAYA is designed to connect the different dimensions of the Muslim-friendly hospitality journey within one ecosystem: Stay, Travel, Dine, Wellness, Culture and Experiences.

ZAYA aims to connect Muslim travellers, hospitality providers and destinations across borders — making it easier for travellers to discover experiences that understand and respect their values, needs and lifestyles.

For hospitality providers and destinations, ZAYA creates a new gateway to connect with the international Muslim travel market and showcase Muslim-friendly experiences to a wider global audience.

Its mission works in both directions: Bringing the world to Malaysia. Connecting Malaysia to the world, and ZAYA is being built around that journey.

By bringing hospitality, travel, dining, wellness, culture and experiences together, ZAYA aims to create a more seamless and meaningful Muslim-friendly experience from discovery to destination.

Launching ZAYA at GHaS 2026 places the platform within an international gathering of halal certification bodies, policymakers, regulators and industry leaders — reflecting the global connections that ZAYA seeks to build.

Born in Malaysia, ZAYA aims to grow through strategic partnerships with hospitality providers, tourism partners and destinations internationally.

The ambition is clear: to build a platform that connects people, cultures, businesses and destinations through a shared understanding of Muslim-friendly hospitality.

For the record, ZAYA is a Malaysia-born Muslim-Friendly Hospitality Platform connecting travellers with stay, travel, dining, wellness, culture and experiences aligned with Muslim needs and values. Through technology, strategic partnerships and an expanding hospitality ecosystem, ZAYA aims to make Muslim-friendly experiences more accessible, seamless and connected across borders.
