DHAKA: At least eight dengue patients died and 1,782 others were hospitalised in the 24 hours till 8am Thursday (Sept 24), according to Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Of the deaths, three each were reported in Dhaka South City Corporation and Khulna division, while one each was reported in Dhaka North City Corporation and Mymensingh division.
With the new deaths and cases, the total number of dengue deaths has risen to 209, while the total number of cases has reached 69,149.
Currently, 5,066 dengue patients are undergoing treatment at hospitals across the country. - The Daily Star/ANN
