In line with current developments, the Datuk Dato Malaysia Chamber of Commerce (DPDDM) continues to move forward by forging a strategic partnership with the UiTM Staff Cooperative Berhad (UiTMKOOP).
The strategic collaboration with DPDDM will continue to be strengthened to open 30 new Ar-Rahnu Al-Falah branches throughout Malaysia. This initiative not only expands the service network of UiTMKOOP but also creates greater opportunities for the community to access financial services based on Sharia principles.
At the same time, it can strengthen the position of Ar-Rahnu Al-Falah as the main service of the cooperative. This demonstrates the cooperative's ongoing commitment to empowering the economy of its members, expanding benefits to the community, and building a progressive, competitive, and sustainable cooperative organization.
"That's why we plan to open 30 new Ar-Rahnu Al-Falah branches across Malaysia." At the same time, the cooperative will continue to explore opportunities in the real estate sector and intensify various community initiatives through the organization of programs that provide value to members and the community, including golf tournaments as well as community, arts, and cultural activities.
"Efforts to expand new membership and encourage investor participation to invest capital in cooperatives will also continue to be prioritised." This step is important to strengthen the financial position of the cooperative, increase investment capacity, and create new sources of growth that can provide long-term benefits to the members.
DPDDM is led by the President, Datuk Nor Hasnal Hashmi, along with the senior leadership team of DPDDM. Meanwhile, the UiTMKOOP side was represented by the Chairman of UiTMKOOP, Syahrudin Hanib, and the Board Member of the Cooperative, Syed Shadali bin Syed Abdullah.
Nor Hasnal added that currently, UiTMKOOP membership is only open to UiTM staff, and those interested can register to become members, while other services provided such as vehicle takaful, sales tax, and Ar-Rahnu are open to the public.
"Services like Ar-Rahnu Al-Falah are open to the entire community, reflecting the increasingly expanding role of UiTMKOOP from a cooperative for UiTM residents to an organization that also contributes to the wider society."
"It has been proven that UiTMKOOP has made a significant contribution in improving the economic welfare and living standards of the staff and the ecosystem of Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM)." To further expand its role, we will provide more extensive services to all layers of society.
According to Nor Hasnal, with membership spanning various sectors among the professional community at UiTM, DPDDM is in a strategic position to become a 'golden bridge' for UiTMKOOP to collaborate with the Madani government in nurturing a new community of educated individuals, businesses, and entrepreneurs.

"If everything goes smoothly, we also plan to organise the DPDDM and UiTMKOOP Charity Golf Tournament, which will involve student participation to keep them away from the increasingly rampant cybercrime nowadays."
