YANGON: A fire broke out on Sanchaung Road, Sanchaung township, at around 8.20pm on Sunday (Sept 13), said the fire service department.
Fire engines were dispatched from the Sanchaung Township Fire Station after receiving reports of a fire on Samchaung North Ward.
It was reported that Level 1 fire fighter vehicle groups were seen leaving the station at 8.24pm.
Similarly, the Future Light Charity Association, which was also helping, live-streamed the incident on its Facebook page.
The live broadcast showed wires on the street and some rooms believed to be shops burning heavily.
In addition to the Sanchaung Township Fire Department, fire trucks from a few nearby townships also helped battle the fire. - Eleven Media/ANN
