BISHKEK:President Xi Jinping called on China and Mongolia to consolidate strategic mutual trust, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation and strengthen the bonds between their peoples, during a meeting with Mongolian President Ukhnaa Khurelsukh in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, on Monday.
The two sides should inject greater vitality into their comprehensive strategic partnership and advance the building of a China-Mongolia community with a shared future, Xi said.
Peaceful coexistence, mutual support and win-win cooperation have always been the defining features of bilateral relations, Xi said, adding that China will continue to place ties with Mongolia high on the agenda of its neighbourhood diplomacy.
Xi stressed the need for the two countries to consolidate the political foundation of their relationship, and respect each other's independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Xi also called on the two sides to strengthen coordination and collaboration in multilateral affairs and jointly address global challenges.
Khurelsukh said that deepening friendly cooperation with China is a top priority of Mongolia's foreign policy, while reaffirming his country's firm commitment to the one-China principle.
Mongolia is willing to work with China to advance the vision of building a community with a shared future for humanity, he added. - Xinhua
