KUALA LUMPUR: The second edition of Latihan Pestapora Malaysia 2026 came to a vibrant close after 12 hours of music and festivities at the National Hockey Stadium, Bukit Jalil on Aug 1515 August 2026, bringing together music fans from Malaysia and Indonesia in a lively celebration of regional music.
Co-organised by Hitman Solutions and Boss Creator, Latihan Pestapora Malaysia returned with a larger and more immersive experience featuring 19 artists across a diverse range of genres including pop, rock, indie, ska, R&B, and nostalgic favourites.
More than just a music festival, this year’s edition further strengthened Latihan Pestapora Malaysia’s role as a platform that brings together artists, fans, and the shared musical cultures of Malaysia and Indonesia in one space.
One of the most anticipated moments of the festival was the Malaysian debut of Last Child. The Indonesian alternative pop-punk band received an enthusiastic welcome from fans as they performed a selection of well-loved songs including “Duka”, “Seluruh Nafas Ini” and “Sekuat Hatimu”, with the crowd singing along in what became one of the most memorable moments of the festival.
Their appearance also reflected the strength of cross-border musical connections, with Indonesian music continuing to hold a special place among Malaysian listeners.
Latihan Pestapora Malaysia 2026 brought together a mix of established names, popular artists, and emerging talents from both countries.
Among the artists who took to the stage were Tulus, Tipe-X, Ruffedge, Romantic Echoes, Mahalini, Lah Ahmad, Juicy Luicy, Insomniacks, FUGŌ, Disko Santan & Friends, Bernadya and many more.
The diversity of the lineup created a dynamic musical experience throughout the day, with each performance bringing its own identity and fanbase to the festival.
One of the key highlights of this year’s edition was three special collaborative performances created exclusively for Latihan Pestapora Malaysia 2026.
The collaborations featured Rhoma Irama Soneta X Maliq & D’Essentials, Nadhif Basalamah X Aziz Harun X Aisha Retno, and Masdo X Gerhana Skacinta.
Bringing together artists from different generations, genres and musical backgrounds, the collaborations became some of the festival’s most distinctive moments and demonstrated how Malaysian and Indonesian sounds can come together in fresh interpretations on one stage.
Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Hitman Group, Rohit Rampal, said the second edition represented another important step towards building a regional festival that can continue to grow alongside its artists and fans.

Pestapora Festival Director and Co-Founder of Boss Creator, Kiki Ucup, said the response towards Latihan Pestapora Malaysia reflects the strong connection between the music communities of both countries.
“We are always happy to return to Malaysia and see how warmly Indonesian artists are received by fans here. At the same time, Latihan Pestapora also allows us to bring Malaysian artists closer to Indonesia’s music community.
“Collaborations are something we believe can continue to grow because new ideas are often created through these moments. We hope to keep building bridges between the Malaysian and Indonesian music ecosystems through Latihan Pestapora,” he said.
Beyond the live music, festival-goers were able to enjoy a more complete festival experience featuring more than 20 food and beverage vendors, interactive photo areas and the Music is Universal experience at the Universal Music Corner, which offered a range of activities and fan experiences throughout the event.
The overall festival space was designed to allow attendees to enjoy the event not only through live performances, but also through activities, community engagement and shared experiences with friends throughout the day.
