Art of Speed 2026 raised the bar with its biggest celebration of Kustom Kulture, uniting automotive passion, music, art and community

The 15th Annual Art of Speed Malaysia (AOS 2026) transformed the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park, Serdang (MAEPS) into a vibrant celebration of Kustom Kulture on Aug 1 and 2.

Thousands of enthusiasts from Malaysia and abroad gathered for an unforgettable weekend featuring world-class custom vehicles, international builders, exclusive collaborations, live music, art, and interactive experiences.

Marking a milestone year for the festival, AOS 2026 introduced an expanded Summer Festival concept, delivering an even more immersive programme that seamlessly blended automotive lifestyle with entertainment, creativity, and community spirit. From exclusive vehicle unveilings and international showcases to SoundCircus Festival performances and family-friendly attractions, the event once again reinforced its position as Malaysia's premier Kustom Kulture festival.

AOS 2026 showcased an extraordinary line-up of custom motorcycles and cars, giving visitors an up-close look at some of the finest builds from across the region. Highlights included a rare 1945 Harley-Davidson Knucklehead from Japan's Hawgholic and a 1966 Harley-Davidson Shovelhead from Vise Clothing. The festival also featured a special exhibition of exceptional custom cars from Bangkok, Thailand and Taiwan, alongside the highly anticipated appearance of Liberty Walk (LBWK) from Japan, making it one of the standout attractions of AOS 2026.

SoundCircus Festival (SCF) 2026 also transformed MAEPS into a vibrant live music destination, with six stages spread across the indoor and outdoor festival grounds. Festivalgoers enjoyed an electrifying line-up featuring Ella x Cokelat, Jemput Dengar featuring Sheila Majid, Nadin Amizah, Disagree, Johnny Pandora, Dannqrack & Eemrun, Hari Slatan, the 20th anniversary celebration of Hujan, and the 30th anniversary of Asian Hardcore.

Adding to the excitement, AOS 2026 introduced Asia's first Flying Fox above a live concert audience, allowing guests to soar across the SoundCircus Pentas 16 Stage for a truly unforgettable festival experience. The festival concluded on a high note, reaffirming SoundCircus as one of Malaysia's premier live music experiences.

Art of Speed 2026 also received support from the Ministry of Communications through MyCreative Ventures (MyCreative) under the Concert and Events in Malaysia Incentive (CEMI) programme. The incentive supports the organisation of international-calibre concerts and events and played a key role in the successful staging of SoundCircus Festival 2026, enabling the festival to deliver an even more ambitious programme of live music, performances, and creative experiences. The collaboration reflects a shared commitment to strengthening Malaysia's creative economy while elevating the country's reputation as a destination for world-class cultural and entertainment events.

The return of the Art of Speed Invitational Bike Build-Off brought together eight talented builders, each showcasing exceptional craftsmanship, creativity, and innovation. Following a closely contested competition, Mujo Joros was crowned both the Overall Jury Winner and the Public Choice Winner with their outstanding GPX Gentleman 200, earning unanimous recognition from both the judging panel and visitors. Mujo Joros received a RM15,000 cash prize as the Overall Jury Winner and a RM5,000 cash prize as the Public Choice Winner.

The 4th Official Hot Wheels Collectors Convention Malaysia (HWCCM) once again brought together collectors and enthusiasts at Hall C for one of the festival's most anticipated attractions. Visitors enjoyed an immersive Hot Wheels experience featuring interactive activities, collector exhibitions, community sessions, and a vibrant marketplace.

A major highlight was the release of the HWCCM 2026 Exclusive Custom Nissan Skyline GT-R V·Spec II (BNR34), complete with a unique serial number, official Nissan licensing, and authentic Motul and Yokohama decals. The convention also welcomed Hot Wheels Premium Lead Product Designer Ronald Wong as a special guest, while Hall C featured a curated display of Nissan Skyline GT-Rs by the Malaysia Skyline Owners Group (MSOG), celebrating the launch of the exclusive collector model.

AOS 2026 continued to evolve beyond automotive culture through a series of new collaborations and community-driven experiences. The festival introduced ten new partnerships with global and local brands, including Liberty Walk, Hot Wheels, DicE Magazine, Xocks, DRUM, Touch 'n Go, Zippo, Cricket, Skillo, and Easthood, further strengthening its position as a regional Kustom Kulture hub.

Visitors also enjoyed a special collaboration with Astro Shaw promoting the film “Terbang”, featuring the movie's hero vehicle and exclusive meet-and-greet sessions.

Complementing the festival atmosphere were a variety of lifestyle attractions, including the Santai Scooterist & Car Club Gathering, a dedicated Kids Recreation Zone, and the KL Orbits cycling gathering and competition, offering engaging experiences for visitors of all ages.

Beyond the headline attractions, AOS 2026 delivered a diverse range of exclusive experiences throughout the festival grounds. Visitors had the opportunity to purchase event-exclusive diecast models from Kyosho × MOONEYES, Tarmac Works × RWB, and Mini GT × Liberty Walk, while Hall A showcased themed exhibitions including Chopper Paradise in collaboration with DicE Magazine, Pick-Up Line, and an international display of modified vehicles from Thailand.

Hall D celebrated lifestyle and creative subcultures with Gravel Travel, a custom bicycle Show & Shine competition, Kulture Kartel featuring vintage fashion, streetwear, B-Boy competitions, and a rap battle, alongside an exclusive fashion presentation by Sunburst Tribe, ensuring there was something for enthusiasts of every generation.

Complementing the festival's automotive and music highlights, AOS 2026 featured a diverse range of lifestyle, leisure, and interactive experiences for visitors of all ages. Festivalgoers enjoyed an outdoor food court, the popular Payung Kopi café, and live entertainment by the Backdoor SoundSystem Collective, while automotive enthusiasts explored the Automotive Flea Market and Collectable Alley in Hall C for rare parts, diecast models, and memorabilia. Visitors also experienced motorcycle test rides from leading brands, product launches, sponsor activations, and complimentary product sampling, ensuring there was something to discover throughout the weekend.

The return of the AOS 2026 Kembara Passport once again proved to be one of the festival's most engaging visitor activities, rewarding participants with an exciting lineup of prizes worth over RM80,000. Throughout the weekend, ticket holders completed interactive challenges at participating corporate and sponsor booths in pursuit of exclusive prizes, including the grand prizes of a custom Thunder Motorcycles 250 and a specially modified Honda HR-V MK1 Japan Edition.

Tan Kok Leong (DJI Action Camera), Ariana (Thailand Bike Week trip with Art of Speed Malaysia), Muhammad Hazrul Jamalludin (Vespa S 125), Nurul Nizam Mohamed (DJI Osmo Camera), Nur Hakimah Ramli (trip to a music festival in Jakarta), Muhammad Mat Yasin (trip to the BBQ Ride in Bandung), Arsh Rafayed Bin Muhamad Izzatul Firdaus (custom Thunder Motorcycles 250), and Amirul Fitri Bin Sharif (Honda HR-V MK1 Japan Edition) were all well-deserved winners.

In conjunction with AOS 2026, Tourism Selangor also launched Tourscape @ Selangor, an initiative that connects automotive passion with travel and tourism. Through its Road Trip Fun Maps, visitors are encouraged to explore all 12 districts of Selangor by car or motorcycle while discovering the state's attractions, culture, gastronomy, and authentic local experiences.

The launch ceremony was officiated by Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari, Menteri Besar of Selangor, together with Datuk Ng Suee Lim, Selangor State Executive Council Member for Local Government and Tourism, and Chua Yee Ling, Chief Executive Officer of Tourism Selangor. They also took the opportunity to tour the many attractions at AOS 2026, reaffirming their support for strengthening tourism, the creative economy, and automotive culture through internationally recognised festivals such as Art of Speed.

Reflecting on the success of AOS 2026, Festival Director Asep Ahmad Iskandar said the festival's growing international presence was the result of years of building meaningful relationships within the global Kustom Kulture community, particularly across South-East Asia.

He noted that Art of Speed has earned the trust and support of internationally renowned brands and builders from around the world, while remaining committed to nurturing Malaysia's custom automotive scene and strengthening the regional Kustom Kulture movement.

"The international support we have received is a reflection of what Art of Speed has built over the years—not just as an event, but as a platform that connects builders, brands, artists, and enthusiasts from around the world.

"As we continue to grow, our mission remains the same: to celebrate creativity, support our local community, and showcase Malaysia as a leading destination for Kustom Kulture in the region," he said.

The Best of Show Automobile winner received a trip to attend the 34th Annual MOONEYES Yokohama Hot Rod Custom Show 2026 in Japan. Meanwhile, the Best of Show Motorcycle winners were each awarded a commemorative plaque in recognition of their exceptional craftsmanship.
