SINGAPORE (Xinhua): Singapore Exchange (SGX Group) reported record revenue and net profit for the financial year ended June 30, 2026, driven by broad-based growth across all business segments as its multi-asset strategy continued to gain traction.

This announcement came as the country celebrated Singapore National Day on Sunday (August 9th). It commemorates Singapore's full independence and sovereignty after its separation from Malaysia in 1965. The major annual festivities include the National Day Parade (NDP), aerial flypasts, and fireworks.

Meanwhile, the bourse operator said in a statement that net revenue rose 13.9 per cent year-on-year to 1.48 billion Singapore dollars (about 1.15 billion U.S. dollars), while adjusted net profit increased 24.6 per cent to a record 759.5 million Singapore dollars.

Chief Executive Officer Loh Boon Chye said growth was broad-based during the year, led by the cash equities business, while the foreign exchange and commodities franchises achieved record trading volumes, underscoring the resilience of the group's multi-asset strategy.

"We will extend our franchise through strategic index partnerships and new ecosystems such as gold, unlock more value by bringing our listed and over-the-counter foreign exchange capabilities closer together, and use data more effectively to deepen client relationships and identify opportunities across our businesses," he added. - XInhua
