A 5.8-magnitude quake hits Halmahera, Indonesia: GFZ


BEIJING: An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.8 jolted Halmahera, Indonesia at 1650 GMT on Wednesday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.

The epicentre, with a depth of 127.1 km, was initially determined to be at 1.77 degrees north latitude and 127.49 degrees east longitude. - Xinhua
