Police said the SHO, identified as Irfan, has obtained interim bail from a court.
According to the first information report (FIR), a police team led by the Sarwar Road SHO entered the attorney general's residence at about 6pm on July 27 after scaling the main gate.
The officers allegedly harassed employees at the house and damaged flower pots outside the property during the operation.
The attorney general was attending a meeting at the time of the raid and returned home after being informed of the incident.
Police said the raid was carried out following a tip-off that suspects were hiding in a neighbouring house, but the team mistakenly entered the attorney general's residence.
The FIR stated that the officers exceeded their lawful authority during the operation, leading to the registration of a criminal case and departmental proceedings, including the issuance of charge sheets.
The attorney general's driver, Irfan, alleged that the police team also removed the house's closed-circuit television (CCTV) recording system.
He claimed footage of the raid was deleted before the digital video recorder (DVR) was returned.
