The Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI), through its agencies and strategic financial partners, organised TechnoMART Malaysia: High Tech Financing 2026 at Menara MBSB Bank, with MBSB supporting the programme as venue host and financial sector partner.
The event brought together policymakers, financial institutions, investors, technology developers, industry leaders and innovators to advance the commercialisation of Malaysian technologies and support industry growth.
Officiated by Datuk Chang Lih Kang, Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, the programme reinforces the Government's commitment to building a coordinated innovation financing ecosystem. It connects technology developers with financial institutions, venture capital firms, development financial institutions, commercial banks, and strategic partners on a single platform.
TechnoMART Malaysia: High Tech Financing addresses one of the most critical challenges in Malaysia's innovation ecosystem by bridging the commercialisation gap, improving access to financing for high-potential technologies, and enabling deeper collaboration among government, industry, academia, and the financial sector.

Chang said: “Innovation only creates value when it reaches the market. Building an innovation-driven economy requires strong partnerships between government, industry, researchers and the financial community. TechnoMART Malaysia demonstrates how we can bring these stakeholders together to create a financing ecosystem that enables Malaysian technologies to scale, compete globally and contribute to our nation's economic prosperity.”
Tan Sri Dr Ahmad Tajuddin Ali, Joint Chairman MIGHT (Industry), emphasised the organisation’s evolving role: “For more than three decades, MIGHT has served as a platform connecting government, industry and academia. Today, our role has evolved into that of an ecosystem integrator.
"TechnoMART Malaysia is a national platform where technology meets investment, innovation meets industry, and partnerships are forged to transform ideas into globally competitive industries.”
Dato' Wan Kamaruzaman Wan Ahmad, Chairman of MBSB, also underscored the importance of strategic collaboration in financing high-technology ventures. He highlighted, “Malaysia has many promising technologies, and turning them into sustainable businesses requires the right capital, strong industry partnerships and a clear path to market.
"Through MBSB Bank and MIDF, we are well positioned and already working with government, investors and industry to support companies with financing for machinery, equipment, working capital and expansion, as well as access to capital market solutions as they mature.”
Since its inception in 2018, TechnoMART Malaysia has grown into a national and international platform for technology commercialisation and strategic business collaboration, delivering more than 30 programmes across priority technology sectors and international collaborations. MIGHT will continue expanding the initiative, including future collaborations with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
