Co-founder and Executive Producer of Lomo Pictures Aron Koh has been conferred the Honorary Fellowship by Lincoln Professional Academy.
Over the past decade, the Malaysian film producer has contributed to Malaysia's film industry through independent film production, regional collaboration and initiatives that bring filmmakers, institutions and creative communities together across borders.
The Honorary Fellowship is a recognition by society of his longstanding contributions to film production, cross-cultural exchange in the film and television industry, and the development of the film sector. Over the years, he has actively promoted collaborations between Malaysia and the film and television industries of Hong Kong, Taiwan, Mainland China, and Singapore.
"It is a great honour to receive this fellowship," said Koh. "This recognition belongs as much to the many filmmakers, storytellers and partners I have had the privilege of working with over the years. Together, we share a common belief that stories have the power to connect people across cultures. I hope we can continue creating more opportunities for Malaysian talent and our stories to reach audiences around the world."
Among Koh's most notable contributions was serving as the Organising Chairman of the 61st and 62nd Asia-Pacific Film Festivals (APFF), one of the region's longest-running and most respected film festivals. Held in Malaysia, the festivals brought together filmmakers, producers, investors and industry stakeholders from across the Asia-Pacific, providing a platform for dialogue, collaboration and cultural exchange while reinforcing Malaysia's standing within the regional film community.
Koh is also the Founder and Organising Chairman of the China-Malaysia Film Culture Festival, which recently concluded its third edition. Established to strengthen cultural and industry ties between Malaysia and China through cinema, the festival has become a platform for filmmakers, creative professionals and institutions from both countries to exchange ideas, forge partnerships and deepen mutual understanding through storytelling.
Beyond industry initiatives, Koh is committed to nurturing future filmmakers through education. He also currently serves as Dean of the Faculty of Digital Film at Mantissa College, where he works with aspiring filmmakers to bridge academic learning with industry practice and prepare graduates for an evolving global screen industry.
Reflecting on the fellowship, Koh said the recognition serves as encouragement to continue contributing to the growth of Malaysia's film ecosystem.

I look forward to working with fellow filmmakers, educators and industry partners to strengthen our film ecosystem, create more opportunities for collaboration, and spread stories that connect us all to reach even wider audiences."
