BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: The Rotary Club of Bandar Seri Begawan (RCBSB) collected a total of 100 pints of blood during its latest quarterly Blood Donation Drive on Saturday (July 18), reaffirming its commitment to serving the community and supporting Brunei Darussalam’s healthcare system and to “Create Lasting Impact”.
Held in collaboration with the Blood Donation Centre, Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Hospital, the campaign saw an encouraging response, including many first-time and young donors.
Rotary members also carried out a community door-to-door campaign by distributing leaflets to encourage voluntary blood donation and raise public awareness of the importance of maintaining a safe blood supply.
Organising chairman Bidyut and co-chair Paula jointly expressed their gratitude to all blood donors, volunteers, sponsors, and supporters whose generosity and dedication made the drive a resounding success.
The Rotary Club of Bandar Seri Begawan remains committed to organising quarterly blood donation campaigns in support of Rotary International’s motto, “Service Above Self”, and this Rotary year’s theme, “Create Lasting Impact”.
The club encouraged the public to continue supporting future blood donation drives to help ensure a safe and adequate blood supply for patients across Brunei Darussalam. - Borneo Bulletin/ANN
