The OHMYMEOW! EXPO 2026, Malaysia’s Largest Cat Expo (Malaysia Book of Records), has officially opened at the Mid Valley Exhibition Centre (MVEC) in Kuala Lumpur from July 9 to July 12.
Beyond retail opportunities, this event continues to spearhead the “Responsible Pet Ownership” campaign, aimed at elevating standards of ethical care, animal welfare, and informed pet management across Malaysia.
This year’s edition features the legendary culinary icon Datuk Chef Wan, who joins the mission to advocate for a more compassionate, pet-loving society.
A significant highlight of the expo is the Exclusive Preview of the Jaecoo J5 EV. For the first time in Malaysia, the public will get an exclusive look at its EV variant.
Recognised as the first vehicle line in the country to offer a purpose-built, pet-friendly cabin with TÜV-certified materials, the J5 is designed to make travel safer and more comfortable for furry companions. Visitors will have the opportunity to register their interest on-site.

Calvin Soh, the organiser of the event, said after the opening of the event that he was extremely happy with the support that the event has received from pet lovers.
“By bringing together industry leaders, innovators like JAECOO, and voices like Datuk Chef Wan, we are doing more than just highlighting products; we are setting a new benchmark for responsible pet ownership in Malaysia”, added Calvin Soh.
Co-organiser Jaice Tan added that pet lovers now have a place to enjoy all the latest promotions and deals, especially for cats.
“We are incredibly proud to see how the expo has evolved from a showcase into a vital platform for change!” said Jaice.
The public is invited to attend the expo to explore the latest products and access exclusive promotions from participating vendors. Admission to the event is free.
