Lao parliament to convene extraordinary session on key national issues

VIENTIANE: The first extraordinary session of Laos' National Assembly's 10th legislature will be held from July 6 to 10 to consider a range of urgent legislative and national policy issues.

The session will review the government's report on the implementation of the National Socio-Economic Development Plan, State Budget Plan and Monetary Plan during the first half of 2026, while setting priorities for the remainder of the year, according to Lao Economic Daily on Friday (July 2).

Lawmakers will also deliberate on the proposed National Agenda on Rural Development and Poverty Reduction, as well as draft laws. - Xinhua
