Brunei Sultan to attend Asean-Russia Commemorative Summit

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah is scheduled to attend the Asean-Russia Commemorative Summit from June 17-18, 2026 in Kazan, Russian Federation.

The Commemorative Summit – held on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of Asean-Russia relations – will be co-chaired by President of the Philippines Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr as the Asean Chair this year, and President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, and will be joined by His Majesty and other Asean leaders.

The Commemorative Summit is expected to review the progress achieved under the Asean-Russia Comprehensive Plan of Action (CPA) for 2021-2025, chart the course for future cooperation, as well as renew the shared commitment to strengthening the Asean-Russia Strategic Partnership. - Borneo Bulletin/ANN
