Welcome to Da Nang - Vietnam's golf haven for enthusiasts, and tourists in South-East Asia

Welcome to Da Nang ... A top coastal city in central Vietnam known for its sandy beaches and history as a French colonial port. It's a popular base for visiting the inland Ba Na hills to the west of the city. And it's so famous for its beautiful landscape and well known internationally as a relaxation holiday spot.

The famous city is also now known for another amazing outing -- boosting some of Asia's best golf courses, combined with challenging courses and at the same time, offering Vietnam's top luxury resorts, an incredible combination it certainly is.

In Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday (May 19), in a special tourism meet with golfing fans and beach dwellers, representatives from Montgomerie Links, Laguna Golf Lăng Cô, and Ba Na Hills Golf Club introduced holiday enthusiasts and all-inclusive golf and resort packages in Da Nang - Hue, Vietnam's renowned golf hub.

The event held at the Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club, home to some of Malaysia's top golf lovers and enthusiasts, always seeking a new challenge.

And Da Nang has long been known as an unmissable stop on the Asia-Pacific golf tourism map, thanks to its favourable climate, unique sea-mountain-forest landscape, and developed tourism infrastructure, including high-end hotels and resorts.

Most notably, it has formed an impressive collection of world-class golf courses, allowing visitors to conveniently plan their itineraries to fully enjoy some of the most beautiful golf course designs in Vietnam in a single trip.

With direct connectivity, stable pricing, and a safe travel environment, Central Vietnam continues to gain attention among Malaysian golfers seeking premium short-haul getaways. Representatives also noted growing demand for golf holidays combined with leisure experiences, with average stays now reaching around four days.

Maggie Ton, Director of Sales from Laguna Lăng Cô, commented: "Da Nang possesses all the key elements to become a top choice for tourists, one of which is its international airport located right in the city center. From Da Nang, tourists can easily travel to Hoi An and My Son – two UNESCO World Heritage sites – and just 100km north, you can reach the ancient capital of Hue – a city with a special connection to Da Nang dating back centuries."

Alice Le, Club Manager of Montgomerie Links, added, "We clearly see the positive growth of tourism products here in both quantity and quality. In the golf sector alone, golfers have eight golf courses conveniently located nearby to choose from in just one trip. All courses are well-invested from the beginning, aligned with branded hotels and resorts; everything seems to be in one place, making this destination a signature collection of golf experiences in Vietnam like no other."

The golf courses here are professionally operated and dedicated to the destination, and they work together in promotional events in key markets under the name of Vietnam Golf Coast - the Signature collection.

In addition to providing information about the destination, representatives from the golf courses designed attractive packages to increase choices and excitement for golfers.

These packages were offered to customers at special prices during the presentation, and an attractive pricing structure for travel agents throughout the 5-month validity period was also announced.

“During the event, guests also heard real-life testimonials from people working in Malaysia who had the opportunity to experience golf in Da Nang, offering objective and honest feedback. In the open atmosphere of the program, information was shared cheerfully, creating a natural source of inspiration about this destination.” enthusiastically shared by Ms. Nancy Dang, Assistant DOSM of Ba Na Hills Golf Club.

The Da Nang golf destination promotion event received positive attention from nearly 100 attendees, including travel agents, media outlets, and the local golfing community. Many partners expressed their desire to soon bring all-inclusive golf packages to Malaysian customers, while also appreciating the potential of combining golf, relaxation, and cultural experiences in Central Vietnam.

The feedback and practical perspectives from the Malaysian market were also noted, providing an important basis for the organisers to further refine products and services to better suit the needs of international golfers. The success of the event is expected to open up broader cooperation programs, contributing to making Da Nang a top choice for Malaysian golfers in the future.
