KUANTAN: The TYMBA Education Group (TYMBA), together with the International School of Kuantan (ISK) has announced a strategic collaboration that will transform the school into a more dynamic, practical, and globally competitive international educational institution.

This collaboration is strengthened by the appointment of TYMBA Founder, Airil Razali, as the Chairman of the TYMBA–ISK Joint Committee, who will coordinate the strategic direction and ensure the implementation of institutional transformation proceeds in an orderly manner, with high impact, and in line with the ever-evolving global education needs.

This appointment reflects ISK's commitment to continue strengthening its position as a prestigious educational institution that is not only based on a legacy of over 30 years but is also ready to face the challenges of an increasingly complex and rapidly changing world.

Through TYMBA's extensive experience in developing a global talent development ecosystem, Airil brings an approach that emphasises the balance between academic excellence and graduates' employability.

This approach focuses on the need for students to face the realities of the real world, characterised by global economic uncertainty, rapid technological advancements, and changing future industry requirements.

Therefore, this effort ensures that students not only have a strong academic foundation but are also equipped with practical skills and critical thinking necessary in the ever-changing global landscape.

As part of this transformation, ISK is now in the process of transitioning from the American High School Diploma to IGCSE to strengthen its international academic recognition.

At the same time, ISK also integrated the BTEC (Business and Technology Education Council) program into the syllabus, making it one of the earliest schools in Malaysia to combine traditional academic pathways with industry-based skill pathways.

The BTEC program, developed in collaboration with Pearson, emphasises application-oriented learning, industrial projects, and the development of skills relevant to the job market, making this combined approach one of the most practical in preparing students to face an increasingly complex world.

This collaboration also opens access to a more comprehensive educational pathway ecosystem through the TYMBA network, encompassing A-Level, Foundation programs, BTEC pathways with Pearson, as well as professional pathways such as ACCA and ICAEW.

This approach allows students to plan their educational journey in a more organised and strategic manner, starting from the school level up to international professional qualifications, thereby supporting the aspiration to make Pahang one of the leaders in educational excellence in Malaysia.

In an effort to strengthen experiential learning, ISK is also collaborating with institutions such as the Pahang Museum and ATMA Contemporary to provide more interactive and high-impact programs in the fields of art, history, and creative thinking.

This approach provides students with the opportunity to experience more holistic learning by integrating elements of creativity, critical thinking, and cultural understanding in real-world contexts.

ISK views this collaboration as a long-term strategic relationship with great potential to strengthen the institution's position as a center of international standard educational excellence.

The combination of ISK's legacy with the global TYMBA network is believed to be capable of expanding students' opportunities to the international level, enhancing graduates' employability, and strengthening Pahang's position as a hub of quality education.

Overall, this collaboration is not just a curriculum enhancement, but a comprehensive effort to build a sustainable, relevant education ecosystem capable of producing globally competitive generations of students.
