Myanmar rice exports exceed 2.5 million tons in 11 months of FY 2025-26


YANGON: Myanmar exported more than 2.5 million tons of rice and broken rice in the first 11 months of the current fiscal year 2025-2026, according to the Myanmar Rice Federation on Friday (March 6).

The Southeast Asian country earned US$790 million from rice exports from April last year to February this year, the federation's data showed.

During the period, the country exported rice and broken rice via both sea and land routes to more than 30 countries and regions, it said.

In the fiscal year 2024-25, the country exported 2.48 million tons of rice and broken rice, the federation said. - Xinhua
